How To Install a Twitter background

Following these steps you should have your new Twitter background installed in about 3 minutes.

Step 1

Click “Settings” at the top of your Twitter page.

Step 2

Click “Design” in the tab row.

Step 3

Click “Change background image”

Step 4

Browse your hard drive for the large background image you downloaded.

Step 5

Important: If you are using one of our free backgrounds make sure “tile background” is checked. If you are using one of our custom backgrounds, make sure “tile background” is NOT checked but instead be sure to use the main background color we recommended. Click “save changes”

Step 6

Click “Change design colors”

Step 7

Click inside each color box and either change the color values to the ones we provided with your custom background or pick colors that go well with the free background you downloaded.

Step 8

Click “save changes” and you’re finished. You should now see your new background.
